DAKAR 2017 PARTICIPANTS UNDERGO CHECKS

Drivers and riders taking part in the Dakar must pass their first milestone before the race itself begins. And, just like in a rally, there is a time limit here. Given the fact that almost four hundred participants must pass technical and administrative checks, you can not stay here. Each athlete is given a certain amount of time to complete administrative checks and proceed to technical checks of their vehicle. Previously, this was not the case, but taking into account the experience of previous years, when at the end of the day there was a huge influx of participants and their vehicles, it was decided to introduce such a rule. The administrative technical commission includes a number of stages, ranging from the verification of sports licenses to the conduct of medical examinations and the issuance of practical information. Medical examinations take longer than other stages, because you need to take all precautions. Therefore, participants are asked to fill out detailed questionnaires in order to have all the information about their medical histories in case a participant is injured during an accident.
