NEW SCHOOL BUS CRASH TEST

Broken windows and a twisted roof-Maz conducted a crash test of a new school bus model.

The Maz 257 bus, which will soon be launched into mass production, differs from the previous "schoolboy" — the 241st model. In particular, engineers increased the Cross-Country ability of the bus through the use of a frame chassis and expanded the cabin, installing 28 seats with four-point seat belts. The school bus is also equipped with luggage racks for backpacks, an external speakerphone and multimedia systems that allow you to entertain children on the road.

The new bus has a modern Euro-5 eco-class engine-against the Euro-4 of its predecessor. In addition, the transport was provided with a speed limit system that will not allow it to accelerate over 60 km / h. In addition, the developers have provided a retractable step for small passengers.

The main goal of the school bus program is to completely solve the problem of delivering rural children to and from school. For this purpose, the plant has developed two models-Maz 241 and Maz 257. In total, at least 300 school buses will be produced for rural areas.
